Since 2002, the Oregon International Air Show has partnered with Dignity Memorial to host the Veterans Commemoration Chalet. The Chalet exists to honor veterans and acknowledge their service to our country. This year we are pleased to once again announce that the Air Show and Dignity Memorial will offer this opportunity to veterans during the Air Show weekend on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, August 20-22, 2010.
Veterans should apply online to be considered. One guest is allowed per veteran and both must be registered. If you are a member of a national, state, or local veteran organization, please include the organization name, address, and post number if applicable. Please note: completing and submitting this form does NOT guarantee you a place in the chalet. All names will be entered in a lottery drawing and winners will be notified. Acceptance of invitation must be made by selected parties to receive a ticket to the Dignity Memorial Chalet.
At that time, registered veterans will receive a Dignity Memorial Veterans’ Chalet invitation through the mail. The invitation will have RSVP instructions and contact information. 300 veterans will be randomly picked out of all RSVP and will receive packets containing identification for free VIP parking, admission onto the airfield, and seating for two in the Veterans’ Chalet near show center.
