Blue Angels’ Appearance Pending
(Updated 3.12.13) Due to the U.S. Budget Control Act sequestration effects, the United States Navy Blue Angels appearance at the 2013 Oregon International Air Show is pending.
On 3.1.13 the Navy cancelled Blue Angels’ appearances at four air shows scheduled for April 2013 however the rest of the Blue Angels’ 2013 schedule is still confirmed. On 3.7.13, the Blue Angels confirmed to the Oregon International Air Show that their appearance at the show has not been cancelled and the team’s intention is to “proceed as planned and continue flying.”
The Oregon International Air Show looks forward to hosting the U.S. Navy Blue Angels and continues to make plans for them to perform July 27th and 28th. If however, the Blue Angels must cancel their appearance at the 2013 Oregon International Air Show, the show will go on as planned with a blockbuster lineup of performers and attractions bolstered by acts that would be added. Show officials are busy putting together a world-class lineup of performers and attractions that will once again provide a family-friendly, philanthropy-driven, high-value entertainment option for all of our great air show fans.
As is the case every year regardless of whether the Blue Angels are the featured performers, tickets to the show are limited and we anticipate that many of our ticket options will sell out very early since the show is slightly earlier on the calendar this year. That being said, all ticket sales are final. No refunds or rain checks are available.
