The skies over Hillsboro came alive last weekend with the return of the U.S. Navy Blue Angels and the 20th anniversary of the Oregon International Air Show, presented by Standard TV and Appliance. Prior to this year, the Blues have not been in Hillsboro since 2004. “We appreciate having the U.S. Navy Blue Angels – Oregon loves them!” says Air Show President, Judy Willey.  "A good mix of military and civilian aircraft is what makes any airshow successful! As always – safety is our #1 focus in all areas of this great community event!”

It may have been a few years since the Blues were here, but it was obvious that they hadn’t forgotten how to thrill the crowds in Oregon.

"The Blues always bring an amazing

show to town!” commented the Air Show Media Manager, Steve Callaway.

The U.S. Army Golden Knights Jump Team performed in the Friday night show as well as in both shows on Saturday and Sunday. They opened the Saturday and Sunday shows with a jump with the American Flag.

The show also featured several well-known names and acts from the Show circuit. Including Bill Reesman and his Red Bull MiG, the Air National Guard’’s Major John Klatt, Renny Price and Hammerhead Aerobatics and Greg Poe.

The 2008 Air Show dates and performers will be announced in January. All new information and updates will be posted on our website at
