F-15EX and F-15C Eagles
142nd Wing – Oregon Air National Guard
The 142nd Wing is part of the Oregon Air National Guard and is based out of Portland, Oregon. The Wing operates the F-15. They are currently transitioning from the F-15C/D to the F-15EX Eagle II.
About the F-15EX Eagle II
The F-15EX is the latest upgrade to the F-15 Eagles. These F-15s have more advanced technology, greater payload capabilities, range and speed. They are set to replace the F-15C and Ds.
About the F-15C
The F-15C entered service in 1979 and has undergone upgrades as a part of the F-15 Multistage Improvement Program. These upgrades have kept the F-15Cs at the top of their game for over 30 years. The Air Force is currently in the process of phasing out the F-15Cs and replacing them with the F-15EX Eagle II.
