Planning to Attend the Show
What roads will be closed during the week leading up to the air show week and during the weekend?
Certain roads will be closed around the airport as performers begin arriving and practicing for the air show. Please check back closer to the air show for the date and roads that will be closed.
What time do gates open? When does the show begin each day?
FRIDAY, SATURDAY & SUNDAY:
Gates open at 9am and close at 5pm.
Show starts APPROXIMATELY at 12pm.
Delays are likely on Air Show days. It is recommended that you plan extra time accordingly for traffic, detours, road closures, and lines to park, check-in, and/or buy tickets.
What time can I arrive if I am parking in the Drive-In Tailgate Parking?
Gates to park in the Drive-In Tailgate area open at 9 AM when the admission gates to the air show open. Cars will not be permitted to enter early, because this area is located on the show grounds.
Is Friday a night show or a day show?
Friday will be a day show.
Are each of the shows the same?
Each of the shows are similar. All performers are scheduled to fly all three days unless noted otherwise on our performer page. To see who is performing, please visit the Schedule page.

Who is performing at the Air Show?

Are there any static displays at the Air Show?
Please check back closer to the McMinnville Air Show to see the list of aircraft on display.
Unfortunately, due to limited space on the field at the McMinnville Airport, static displays will be limited.
Are there going to be any rides at the Air Show?
Please check back for more information about rides.
Can I purchase tickets at the gates?
Yes, tickets can be purchased at the gates. If paying with a credit card, only Visa and Mastercard are accepted at the gates.
Please keep in mind that ticket pricing will be higher on the day of the show, so buy early to take advantage of the best prices and to avoid lines at the gates.
Do veterans receive a discount on tickets?
Yes, Military General Admission tickets are discounted Adult General Admission tickets for active military personnel and veterans only. Military General Admission tickets are not for dependents of an active military personnel and/or veteran. Dependents are to purchase Adult General Admission or Child General Admission tickets instead. Proof of military ID is required for each Military General Admission ticket purchased. Acceptable proof of military ID are as follows: DD Form 2, DD Form 214, VA Card, VIC, or state ID with Veteran status indicated.
I have a ticket to a “watch party.” Can I get into the Air Show?
No. The Oregon Air Show is not affiliated with any third-party “watch parties”. Third-party “watch party” tickets do not allow admission into the Air Show gates or into the Air Show parking lots. Air Show tickets and parking passes are only sold through our ticketing vendor, Eventsprout. If you have a ticket to a “watch party,” please refer to the third-party site in which you purchased the ticket from for information.
What happens if there is inclement weather?
The Air Show will continue – rain or shine – as long as the weather does not interfere with the safety precautions of our performers. If the weather causes safety concerns for performers as indicated by our safety teams, performances may be paused until conditions improve and is deemed safe to resume the show. By purchasing a ticket, guests understand that the safety of our performers and guests is the Air Show’s number one priority and that the Air Show reserves the right to postpone, delay, or cancel the event for safety reasons.
By purchasing a ticket to the Air Show, guests understand that there are no refunds or exchanges, including but not limited to the case of inclement weather.
Buying Tickets
Are tickets only good for one day?
Yes, each ticket is good for only ONE day.
How do I purchase tickets to the 2025 McMinnville show?
Tickets for the 2025 McMinnville show are not yet available. They will be released after the Hillsboro show.
Guests interested in purchasing tickets to the 2025 McMinnville show can purchase tickets on our Tickets page.
Tickets are able to be bought online and at the box office on the day of the event. Please note that box office tickets are subject to availability and prices will be higher on the day of the event.
What is the difference between First Class and regular seating options?
First Class is the front row in each seating area except in Reserved Seating where it is the first two rows.
When choosing my seats, what does the “Show Line” mean?
When purchasing a Premium Seating option (Reserved, Family Garden, Beer Garden, and President’s Club), guests will see a layout map of the seating area with the words “Show Line” on the map. The “Show Line” refers to the boundary between where the crowd ends and the Air Show restricted area(s) begin. The Show Line is also the front of each seating area.
Is there a layout map for seating areas?
Yes! It is currently undergoing updates, but will be posted closer to the show.
Is the show going to be a traditional air show format or Drive-In format this year?
In 2025, the McMinnville show will feature the traditional air show format where guests can roam throughout the general admission areas on show grounds.
For guests who want to experience the air show from the comfort of their own vehicles, the Oregon Air Show is offering limited spots to a designated Drive-In section on-field. Please refer to our website’s Tickets page for more information about the designated Drive-In area and to purchase tickets.
How do I purchase tickets for the 2025 shows?
Tickets to the 2025 Hillsboro and McMinnville shows are not yet available. Announcements will be made on our website and social media platforms when tickets become available for 2025. Air Show Wingmen – guests who have purchased tickets to the 2024 Hillsboro and/or McMinnville shows – will be the first notified when tickets go on sale and will be granted exclusive access to the 2025 tickets first.

Can I take public transportation to the Air Show?
Unfortunately, Trimet and MAX do not operate in McMinnville. Uber and Lyft are alternatives guests may use. CLICK HERE FOR MAP
The pick up and drop off point for Uber and Lyft guests will be located at 4000 SE Cirrus Ave, McMinnville, OR 97128. Uber and Lyft lights MUST be on to pick up and drop off guests in this area.
Please keep in mind that this location will also be used for the Chemeketa College Lot pick up and drop off point; buses have the right-of-way and must be yielded to at all times.

Can I bring food and drink?
Due to safety reasons, food and drink is NOT allowed inside the gates with exception of a medical reason. If there’s a medical reason, food and drink will be allowed, but is restricted to be kept at the gates. Food vendors are available on field to purchase food and drink from.
EMPTY water bottles are allowed in and can fill them inside the Air Show gates at the many water taps on field.
Should temperatures rise above 85 degrees on the weekend, we will allow an UNOPENED, see-through water bottle through the gates.
Drive In guests are allowed to bring their own food and drink into the Drive-In area.
What am I allowed to bring into the Air Show?
Small backpack or bag for:
Medications, baby supplies, light clothing, sunscreen.
Folding chairs & blankets for the General Admission areas as no seats are provided for General Admission areas.
Strollers are welcome in the General Admission area. Strollers are allowed to be “parked” in the back of the Reserved Seating area. Strollers are also allowed in Family Garden & President’s Club areas with the purchase of an additional seat.
EMPTY water bottles: In agreement with TSA rules, you are allowed to bring EMPTY water bottles into the Air Show with you and fill them from water taps. Water is also for sale at concession booths. If you arrive with a filled water/beverage bottle, you will need to empty it before enter the show.
NOTE: All bags & carry-in items will be checked at the gates by security for safety reasons.
What am I not allowed to bring into the Air Show?
The Air Show is held on airport property and has strict safety procedures. To ensure everyone’s safety, please remember the following items are NOT allowed through Air Show gates:
• ALL types of knives
• Leatherman-type multi-tools
• Guns or weapons of any kind
• Tents/Pop-up canopies (except for Drive In guests – canopies MUST be secured)
• Large Umbrellas
• Bicycles
• Coolers (except for Drive In guests)
• Large backpacks
• Food and/or beverages unless medically necessary (baby formula/food is allowed)
• Glass containers of any kind
• Fireworks
• Pets of any kind; only service animals are allowed through the gate
Is smoking allowed inside the gates?
Yes, but for safety reasons, smoking is allowed only in the clearly identified, designated “Smoking Areas.”
Are there any ATMs?
Yes, ATMs are located on the airfield.
Is there any shade in any of the seating areas?
All seating areas will be under open sky. Patrons are encouraged to plan accordingly and bring plenty of sunscreen.
Family Garden, Beer Garden, President’s Club, and Corporate Chalet ticket holders will have a partially covered area at the ENTRANCE of the seating area. This partially covered area is not for seating purposes and is not to be blocked for safety reasons.
Can I leave and re-enter the Air Show?
Yes, but you will need to make sure your hand is stamped prior to leaving. Your ticket will NOT get you back into the Air Show.
