Hack to Hide

About Tom Larkin

Tom’s journey to becoming a pilot is one that you might not expect. As a child, Tom was afraid of roller coasters and often got airsick in airplanes. Not something you’d expect to read about a pilot, right?

At age 19, he started flying lessons and earned his pilot’s license in just 62 days. He entered the Air Force in 1984. During his time in the Air Force, he flew the T-38 and eventually worked his way up to the F-15.

Today, when he’s not flying in air shows, Tom is a captain, instructor, and evaluator in the 737 for a major airline. He has over 10,000+ hours of flying with 8,000 of those hours being in jets.

About the Mini Jet

Don’t let the size of this highly modified SubSonex Jet fool you! While it only weighs 500 pounds, it can go up to 300 mph AND is fully aerobatic.

This particular aircraft is the first kit of its type sold and flown. It has been around for about 8 years now. Its engine is a PBS TJ-100 jet engine. It is fully wrapped with vinyl, similar to a show car.

What to Expect at the Show

During Tom’s show, he will perform a series of maneuvers that he used while instructing and flying fighters in the Air Force.
